Government launches Pakistan’s first WhatsApp Polio helpline
The government has taken another important step to eradicate polio from the country. The government has set up a new WhatsApp helpline for polio awareness and complaints, which allows people to directly ask authorities about polio eradication or to lodge complaints regarding polio eradication campaigns. The public can ask questions about the polio vaccine on whatsapp numbers 03467776546.
Babar bin Atta, the prime minister's spokesman for polio, announced this new helpline on Twitter.
He announced that the public could ask a simple message on the helpline 24 hours a day for questions about polio campaign or register their grievances.
An hour after Babar Bin Atta announced the release of the helpline, he urged the public to send a text message instead of calling the helpline.
