It’s official: WhatsApp is rolling out Dark Mode to all users
WhatsApp is releasing Dark Mode for all users. Earlier this option was introduced for only a few Android users, which is now being released to all users. This is the first time that the company has launched it on Android Supporting OS Devices.
WhatsApp says they want to reduce eye pressure in low light environments, which is why unlike other apps, dark colors are not kept dark at all in their dark mode.
During the experiments, the company found that white font on the black background makes the eyes tired. That's why the company is using dark gray instead of black in the background.
To enable this feature in Android 10 and iOS 13, go to System settings and enable Dark Mode. To enable this feature in Android you need to go to WhatsApp's Settings then Chats then Theme and select Dark. ۔ This feature will soon be updated to the latest version of the WhatsApp.
